Imagine a little boy who grew up in a house where external behavior modification was, not only the way to God, but the way to keep God pleased with you.
Imagine the little boy growing up into a man nearing the outer edge of his 40′s with a trail of “failures” behind him.
Imagine him contacting his mama with the million and third piece of possible bad news.
Imagine this man who holds so closely inside of him that little boy who thinks God is never pleased with him based on his long trail of crap and that the proof is in his present circumstances. Obviously.
Imagine the little boy and the grown man hearing his mama respond to even more bad news with, ”Jesus has not changed His view of you. Even if you lose the shirt off your back Jesus is still for you.”
Imagine what this kind of response does to the heart of that man and the life of that little boy.
I don’t know about you, but it made me cry.
Sacred Water falls from my eyes for this story is my story! Thank you to that little boy, that man, his mamma, you and Our Abba!
Thank you! Sacred water falls from your eyes…..love that verbiage!
